Cooking Holidays on Kilimanjaro

On my recent hike up Kilimanjaro, food and Sherry were the last things on my mind so it was an unexpected surprise to discover that our adaptable chef, Vampaya (Vampire – he had one very long tooth!) was able to produce such yummy delights off his camp stove.

We indulged in delicious twice daily soups from peanut butter to aubergine as well as lots of vegetable curries using fragrant Swahili curry powder. Vampaya didn’t have an apron so luckily I had one with me in my essential Kili kit. Buen Provecho Vampaya.
